OMPA Pass on Experience to Leading HR Firm
Offshore Marine People and Academy (OMPA) has delivered tailored courses to Atlas Professionals, training its new recruits with the skills required to work effectively in the offshore renewables industry.
The training, which has seen OMPA bring its industry recommended ‘Introduction to Offshore Renewables’ course to Atlas’ offices in Bristol, means delegates have a clear and detailed understanding of this industry and the demanding roles of the personnel they recruit for, ultimately enhancing their service. The course content, which has received industry recognition from the Renewables Training Network (RTN), the training division of Renewables UK, was edited to ensure it suited the specific needs of the team at Atlas. This involved restructuring the course to cover the roles and responsibilities of contractors and clients as a core module.
OMPA, who provide a variety of industry recommended courses globally, said that the relationship with Atlas Professionals, a specialist HR service provider in the energy and marine industries, was a positive step for the wider industry.
“We are really proud to be able to support Atlas Professionals. Our key objective is to deliver training that adds value and knowledge for the benefit of the industry. We endeavor to ensure all the companies we support benefit from our network of knowledge and experience which is why our offshore renewables courses cover a range of skills, from introductory to the more operational and technical”, explained Antony Lewis, Business Manager at OMPA.
“This partnership is a positive endorsement for the design, development and delivery of our Introduction to Offshore Renewables course and highlights our joint commitment to serving the offshore renewables industry.”
Rory McMahon, Operations Manager at Atlas Professionals, said: “In such a fast paced, technical industry, it is imperative that employees hold the appropriate skills to ensure high quality delivery of professional services. The team at Offshore Marine Academy are fantastic and the first-hand knowledge passed on from their instructors is invaluable in ensuring our staff are well trained and deliver the best possible service to our clients and candidates alike.”
