Senior Geotechnical Consultant -

Offshore OMPA support and supply the highest quality workforce for both the onshore and offshore operations of the renewables, oil & gas, telecommunications and marine industries.

We are looking for a Senior Geotechnical Consultant to join our client in the Marine Construction sector.

Start Date: June, 2026
Location: Utrecht, Netherlands
Duration: Permanent
Salary: Up to 9,800€ a month + package + car

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Geotechnical Consultant or in a similar infrastructure-focused role
• Dutch native language skills
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical methods, techniques, and processes
• Experience with geotechnical software such as PLAXIS and D-Series
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical information
• Experience working on complex infrastructure projects involving settlement-prone soils, dikes, waterways, and existing road networks

Responsibilities:

• Maintain oversight of all geotechnical issues within the A27 (ALSÉÉN) infrastructure projects
• Ensure technical alignment between design and execution throughout all project phases
• Perform and review geotechnical calculations and assess technical documentation
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and provide direction on complex geotechnical matters
• Collaborate with designers, contractors, project management, and external stakeholders
• Monitor technical progress, scheduling, safety, and stability risks across the project
• Support and guide colleagues while maintaining high-quality geotechnical standards
• Translate complex geotechnical concepts into clear and understandable information for project teams
• Build up the Geotechnical team from scratch; using your helicopter view to understand what needs building up and where.
