Quantity Surveyor -

Offshore OMPA support and supply the highest quality workforce for both the onshore and offshore operations of the renewables, oil & gas, telecommunications and marine industries.

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client in the Renewable industry on a permanent basis! Details are below:

Role: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
Style: Permanent, 40 hours a week, on-site
Salary: 50,000 – 60,000 annually + package (experience dependent)

You will need:

• Fluent English
• 5+ years experience in Quantity Surveying
• A degree in quantity surveying and/or electrical (trade background is a benefit)
• JCT understanding is a bonus
• Experience and understanding of all phases of contract development

Responsibilities:

You will collaborate with project managers and quantity surveyors to develop monthly progress applications, covering labour, materials, plant, equipment, and escalation values. You’ll manage construction drawings, track changes, and ensure installation stays on schedule, communicating delays with cause-and-effect analysis. Responsible for early warnings and variations, you’ll handle risks and mitigate commercial impacts while preparing in-house reports and managing project finances, including budgets, cash flows, and earned value calculations. You’ll mentor team members, address project issues, and liaise with legal representatives when needed. Ensuring maximum profitability and timely claims for cost recovery will be key, along with highlighting any variances in target costs and sales. Finally, you’ll assist with monthly reporting and ad-hoc duties as required.
