Fire Engineer -

Offshore OMPA support and supply the highest quality workforce for both the onshore and offshore operations of the renewables, oil & gas, telecommunications and marine industries.

We are looking for Fire Engineers to join our client in the Oil & Gas Technology Sector.

Requirements:

  • Supporting the Principal Fire Safety Engineer with all fire safety scopes of work.
  • Supporting the Principal Fire Safety Engineer in verification and authorisation of all fire safety scopes of work.
  • Carry out foam test training with all Topsides personnel both onshore and offshore.
  • Supporting the Principal Fire Safety Engineer with fire management audits.
  • Liaise with clients for Fire Hazard Management.
  • Verification of in-house reports prior to submittal to clients.
  • Supporting the Principal Fire safety Engineer in the development of policies and procedures, specifically wet testing, foam testing and O&M manuals for offshore fire safety equipment.
  • Aiding with the In-house training and management of deluge systems and components.
  • Hydraulic modelling software development and verification for external clients.
  • Aiding in the development of new technologies, specifically deluge testing technologies.
  • Assisting with project management/engineering on fire safety system projects.
  • Familiar with all British standards, European standards and NFPA codes.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably expected in the interest of the business.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably requested by the Managing Director.

  • Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness
  • Ensure team members are fully aware of client/site-based QHSE policies and procedures
  • Lead Toolbox Talks/safety-related briefings
  • To co-operate with Company requirements to ensure that statutory duties are met
  • Take care of self and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions
  • Report incidents/accidents immediately
  • Safe and successful execution of projects
  • To present a highly professional, articulate and consistent management approach to the running of the business that is supportive to the ideals and expectations of the company employees and shareholders.

Qualifications

  • Current BOSIET and MIST certificates
  • Current offshore medical
