Electrical Estimator -

Offshore OMPA support and supply the highest quality workforce for both the onshore and offshore operations of the renewables, oil & gas, telecommunications and marine industries.

We are looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our client on a permanent basis! Details are below:

Role: Electrical Estimator
Start Date: April, 2026
Style: Permanent
Location: North East, UK
Salary: £50,000 – £63,000 + package

We are looking for someone who has the below requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an Electrical Estimator, ideally within the Pharmaceutical, Industrial, Power Generation, or Oil & Gas sectors

  • The role will involve regular travel between Ireland and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review tender documentation and technical specifications and prepare detailed quotations.

  • Ensure all tender submissions are technically accurate and compliant with project requirements.

  • Prepare and submit electrical tender packages within required deadlines.

  • Attend site inspections and client briefing meetings when required.

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to review tender details and support project handovers.

  • Finalise tender proposals and participate in pre-contract meetings to help secure projects and transition them to the project management team.

  • Work effectively under tight deadlines to deliver high-quality submissions.

  • Communicate with clients to interpret and clarify electrical specifications and requirements.

  • Maintain records of electrical specifications for each contract, including identifying variations, additional costs, and concession requests.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, clients, and project specifiers.

Skills & Experience

  • Approximately 5 years’ experience working as an Electrical Estimator, or as an Electrical Engineer with estimating responsibilities.

  • Strong analytical ability with excellent numerical and IT skills.

  • Highly accurate with the ability to work independently when required.

  • Capable of managing workload and performing effectively under pressure.

  • Demonstrated history of successful project estimating.
