Electronic Design Engineer -
Offshore OMPA support and supply the highest quality workforce for both the onshore and offshore operations of the renewables, oil & gas, telecommunications and marine industries.
We are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join our client in the maritime technology industry;
Start Date: May, 2026
Duration: Permanent, onsite
Location: Norfolk, UK
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + package (experience dependant)
Requirements:
– Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electronic product design, including embedded PC systems
– Experience designing and testing mixed-signal systems involving:
– SoCs and FPGAs
– Control and logic circuits
– Switching power supplies
– Analogue amplification
– Isolated systems
– Transducer driver stages
Responsibilities:
– Design, develop, and improve electronic sonar systems
– Create schematics and multi-layer PCB designs
– Carry out system testing, fault finding, and product repairs
– Support design reviews and continuous product improvement
– Produce and maintain technical documentation and test procedures
– Perform product evaluations and acoustic testing
– Work closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Test, and Quality teams
– Support customers and internal teams with technical queries
– Occasionally travel within the UK and internationally as required
