Technical Manager -

We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our client in the subsea industry on a permanent basis! Details are below:

Role: Technical Manager
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
Style: Permanent, 40 hours a week, flexible working
Salary: 60,000 – 95,000 annually + package (experience dependent)

You will need:

• Fluent Dutch and English
• 3-5 years experience in heavy industry/marine
• A bachelors in marine, mechanical or engineering
• VCA VOL and BOSIET are desirable

Responsibilities:

As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire equipment pool, ensuring all assets are maintained, certified, and ready for deployment. This includes overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating inspections, repairs, and upgrades of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and maintaining accurate records in the asset management system. You will ensure that tools, PPE, and consumables are properly issued, tracked, and returned in accordance with company procedures, minimising waste and maintaining accountability. Additionally, you’ll manage the mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment, including transport and documentation, and liaise with subcontractors for third-party maintenance and certification.

You will provide on-site technical expertise during equipment mobilisation, commissioning, and offshore operations, acting as the main point of contact for troubleshooting and technical support. Supporting Project Managers, you’ll assist with technical planning, performance monitoring, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency. Collaboration with offshore crews, logistics teams, and supply chain partners will be key to ensuring smooth operations. You will also contribute to continuous improvement efforts by participating in the development of new equipment, implementing technical innovations, and enhancing reliability across all projects.
