Project Engineer - OPP230410

Offshore MPA support and supply the highest quality workforce for both the onshore and offshore operations of the renewables, oil & gas, telecommunications and marine industries.

We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer, details below;  

The Project Engineer will work on full project cycles including costing, design, HSE and contracts amongst other responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced project engineer with a background in submarine cable installation projects.

Some international and European travel will be required as part of this role

Essential:

• Proven track record of experience as a project engineer
• Demonstrable project management experience
• Previous work experience within the submarine cable installation industry

The ideal candidate will:

• Have full awareness of all industry standards and rules/regulations
• Be competent in working within budgets and to tight deadlines
• Be able to clearly explain design ideas and plans
• Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills

Accountabilities:

• Perform overall quality control of the work (cost, design, HSE, performance standards, specifications, safety objectives and legal requirements)
• Identify engineering problems and ensure that solutions are proposed, implemented and met
• Coordinate, prepare and monitor assigned engineering projects
• Scoping of the project and interpretation of project designs
• Total responsibility for project documentation
• Ensure projects are completed according to action plans
• Liaise with third party contractors to guarantee that all equipment is safe to use and fit for purpose
• Take responsibility for and manage a team of multidisciplinary professionals (engineers, legal, technical etc) and support them to manage projects through all the development phases, from start to finish

Experience:

• Subsea Cable/Offshore: 2/3 years (Required)
• Project Engineer: 2/3 years (Required)
