We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our client in the Geophysical and Environmental industry on a permanent basis! Details are below:

Salary: £32,000 – £45,000 + package (experience dependant)
- Degree in geoscience, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline
- Experience in near-surface geophysics, ground investigation, or the construction sectors
- 2+ years experience supporting project delivery
- Understanding of core project management principles, including scope, programme, cost, quality, and risk
- Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders
This role:
The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of geophysical survey projects from initiation through to completion. This includes developing an understanding of project proposals, technical specifications, and contracted scopes of work.
Key responsibilities include supporting the development and maintenance of project programmes, monitoring budgets and schedules, identifying and tracking risks, and contributing to regular project meetings. The role requires clear and effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, as well as assisting with progress reporting and post-project reviews.
Working closely with field teams, the APM will assist with advance survey planning, including resource allocation, logistics, and equipment coordination. You will support site activities to ensure works are delivered safely and in line with agreed project plans, monitoring data quality and escalating issues where required. Assistance with resolving technical or equipment-related challenges during surveys will also form part of the role.
The position involves close collaboration with technical teams to help track data processing against project milestones, ensuring that reports, drawings, and datasets are quality-checked prior to issue. You will act as a day-to-day point of contact for allocated projects, preparing client updates, responding to enquiries, and assisting with proposals, quotations, and follow-up activities.
Health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) responsibilities include supporting the preparation and review of RAMS, assisting with HSEQ controls, and liaising with specialist teams to ensure all surveys are delivered in accordance with required safety standards.
